Bright amber in colour, with Golden Syrup lights. A gloriously mature nose (American oak, ex-Oloroso sherry), with tropical fruits as a top note (pineapple, papaya, banana), with a shake of paprika, scented hand cream in the middle and sandalwood at base, with a suggestion of linseed oil. The texture is unctuous, and lively for its age. The taste is sweet overall, with a trace of salt and a long, warming spicy finish. Ripe peach in the aftertaste.
